
SITIMM commemorates International Women's Day
Through the 1st Module of the V Diploma "Towards the Development and Leadership of Working Women"
On March 8, on the occasion of International Women's Day, SITIMM through CEFORMA A. C., simultaneously in the cities of Silao, Celaya and Irapuato, carried out the V Diploma "Towards the Development and Leadership of Working Women", with the presence of more than 200 working women from almost 90 workplaces.
The inauguration was led by Lic. Alejandro Rangel Segovia, General Secretary, who was present from the venue in the city of Silao, where he highlighted the presence of each of the attendees and emphasized that SITIMM has commemorated the effort made by working women, not only on March 8, but that it is a permanent position of the Union in favor of family, social and labor equality and justice.
He commented that one of the main objectives of the diplomas is to continue generating women leaders who develop and help empower all other colleagues by sharing the knowledge and experiences they acquire during these events.
Subsequently, Ing. Carlos García Villaseñor, municipal president of Silao, inaugurated the Diploma, who highlighted that SITIMM is an example of a union organization in gender equality. He recognized the work that women do in social, work and family life, this being a bastion in society.
During the diploma, allusive messages of International Women's Day were shown by Anabel Pulido López, director of the Instituto De La Mujer Guanajuatense and Inés González Nicolás, Coordinator of Union and Gender Dialogue, from the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
The presentations were in charge of the State Training Institute (IECA) with the themes: "The value of being a woman (dignity, identity, rights)" by Lic. María de los Ángeles Gómez López, Lic. Miguel Ángel Sánchez Medrano and José Pedro Cortés Xiqui and; "I Live Safe" by Diana Landín Campos, Luz María Campos and Hugo Alberto Palma Ramírez, the latter Coordinator of Social Security of the municipality of Irapuato.
During the presentations there was active participation from each of the colleagues who expressed their points of view and experiences regarding the topics that the experts presented.
Colleagues Fátima Negrete Dueñas, Secretary of Youth Action, in Silao, María Guadalupe Ramírez Arias, Secretary of Women's Action, in Celaya and Lic. Fátima Caridad Oñate Padilla, Director of Training at CEFORMA, in Irapuato, were in charge of giving the closing message of the 1st module of the V Diploma of Working Women.
This is how SITIMM is in permanent search of new alliances and mechanisms, including the Diploma "Towards the Development and Leadership of Working Women", to provide them with support and assistance tools, Given the growing insertion of women in the workplace, specifically in the automotive and auto parts industry, and the difficulties they face in the search for a work-personal balance and equal and respectful treatment.
