One more step toward Decent Work in Guanajuato! 🙌 This morning we held a press conference at CEFORMA La Moderna to present the second stage of the Labor Development and Justice Index (IDJL), an initiative driven by the United Nations Development Programme - UNDP, the CTM Institute of Innovation and Research and SITIMM. This new stage will assess working conditions and the well-being of workers in 5 companies in Guanajuato, turning the results into concrete improvement actions. 🤝 Measuring to improve, strengthening social dialogue and moving toward decent work. #SindicalismoDeVerdad

📢 GOOD NEWS! 🏥 The CTM announces the approval of the hospital projects for Irapuato and Celaya, which will strengthen medical care for workers and their families. 🤝 Unity, advocacy and results for Guanajuato. PRESS RELEASE No. 006 — September 29, 2026 The CTM successfully secures approval from the Government of Mexico and the IMSS for hospitals in Irapuato and Celaya The response to a demand championed by the CTM will expand health infrastructure in two regions of Guanajuato. The effort brought together workers, employers and authorities around a shared need: better medical services for working families. Mexico City, September 29, 2026.— The Confederation of Mexican Workers (CTM) reports that the Director General of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), Mtro. Zoé Robledo, informed its Secretary General, Mtro. Tereso Medina, of the approval of the hospital projects for the municipalities of Irapuato and Celaya. The Confederation acknowledges the support of the Government of Mexico, led by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, in addressing a demand of the workers of both regions and their families. The request took shape in August, when Tereso Medina brought before the IMSS Technical Council the health needs that Héctor Hugo Varela Flores, leader of the Guanajuato Workers' Federation, had been raising in the state. The meeting showed how the growth of formal employment has increased demand for hospital care in Irapuato and Celaya. To support the Irapuato project, Alejandro Rangel Segovia, leader of the Metal-Mechanical and Automotive Industry Workers' Union (SITIMM), submitted a regional dossier backed by labor organizations, companies and municipal authorities. The proposal also received the support of the business sector. José Antonio Abugaber, Concamin's representative on the IMSS Technical Council, pointed out the need for health infrastructure to grow at the pace of Guanajuato's productive activity. José Luis Carazo, the CTM's workers' representative on that body, will provide institutional follow-up on the process. The Irapuato hospital will strengthen care in that city and the surrounding municipalities; the Celaya hospital will meet the needs of the Laja-Bajío region. Both projects seek to ease the pressure on existing services and bring medical care closer to working families. "This great news fills us with satisfaction and encourages us to keep working, always defending the highest interests of Mexico's workers," said Tereso Medina. Tripartism works when the voice of workers finds support from employers and a response from institutions. This is how the CTM's New Era is built: with demands gathered on the ground, agreements between sectors and results for working families. The Confederation will follow up on every stage until Irapuato and Celaya have the hospitals they need. UNITY AND WORK
