
On August 5, 2021, in Celaya, SITIMM received the 14th «Guanajuato State Award for Labor Merit» in two categories: Education, with the SITIMM-2020 Virtual Training Program, and Transparency and Accountability, with the Yo Soy SITIMM mobile app.
On **August 5, 2021**, in the city of Celaya, the Ministry of Government of the State of Guanajuato presented the **14th «Guanajuato State Award for Labor Merit»**, granted annually to workers and trade union associations based in this State that have implemented improvements in productivity and innovation in their workplaces.
SITIMM took part in two categories: the first was _Education_, with the **SITIMM-2020 Virtual Training Program**, which merges the Union Education and Labor Training program with the Permanent Effective Communication program, using digital tools to deliver courses, workshops and diploma programs of interest to workers while complying with the health measures issued by the authorities.
The second category was _Transparency and Accountability_, where the **Yo Soy SITIMM mobile app** was presented. Its development aims to keep effective, personal, real-time communication with SITIMM members, generating tickets that make it possible to deliver immediate solutions to their needs.
It also ensures that information from the Union Executive Committee reaches every member of the workforce directly, clearly and without intermediaries. In this way, having a mobile application that enables direct communication between Union Representatives and unionized workers optimizes union service and its reach.
**Alejandro Rangel Segovia**, General Secretary of SITIMM, stressed that **Transparency** and **Accountability** are enshrined in our Union Bylaws, clearly establishing the obligation to inform members, through various tools, about the activities carried out by their Union as well as the management of union dues.
He noted that with this, SITIMM reinforces its vision of being the union organization that guarantees optimal comprehensive care for its members both inside and outside the workplace, in order to secure their job stability, economic advancement and social and family development, upholding the values of **truthfulness**, **transparency**, **efficiency** and **honesty**.
