What happens if a worker has not chosen an AFORE?

When a worker has not yet chosen an AFORE, his or her retirement savings are in a “concentrator account.” If after a year the worker still has not chosen an Administrator, CONSAR will assign his or her account to an AFORE that has granted the best returns and charged the lowest commissions. It is important to register in an AFORE to start receiving the benefits they provide, such as receiving account statements, with which control of the deposited resources is kept.
